The Black Opportunity Fund, in partnership with DoorDash, is inviting community members to volunteer as Selection Committee Members for the upcoming DoorDash Grant Program.
This program supports Black-owned restaurants and foodservice businesses across Canada, and we’re seeking individuals who are passionate about community development, entrepreneurship, and equitable economic opportunities.
Adjudication Period: December 2025 – February 2026
Time Commitment: Approximately one month of active review during this period
Position Type: Volunteer — no honorarium payment will be provided
About the Role
The adjudication process will take place from December 2025 to February 2026, with approximately one month of active review time.
Committee members must commit to completing and finalizing the applications assigned to them within this timeframe.
As part of the Selection Committee, members will review and evaluate grant applications from Black-owned foodservice businesses, ensuring a fair and transparent adjudication process.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome volunteers from all regions of Canada who:
- Have experience or interest in the restaurant and/or foodservice industry
- Are committed to supporting Black-owned businesses and community growth
- Can dedicate time to the review period between December 2025 and February 2026
