Juron Grant-Kinnear

Juron is a passionate diversity advocate and corporate legal and governance professional with over 10 years experience across multiple sectors. As well as providing corporate governance advice to BMO Financial Group’s senior executives and their Capital Markets and Wealth Management business lines, he is Co-Chair of BMO’s Legal & Regulatory Compliance DE&I Council.

Prior to his role at BMO, Juron was Vice-President of Corporate & Legal Affairs at a start-up company and established their operations in Europe. Before that he led the governance efforts at the private equity arm of one of Canada’s largest pension plans; OPSEU Pension Trust. Juron holds a B.A. in Political Science (International Relations) from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Laws, LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England.

Juron is also an advisor to an innovative biosciences platform which seeks to remove barriers for scientists and contribute to better health outcomes for individuals and communities. At the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, he is a founding member of their Community Council, which has the challenge of tackling the overrepresentation of black and indigenous children within the Children’s Aid Society’s system. Finally, Juron is honored to serve as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve and support the efforts to stand-up the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion council for 32 Canadian Brigade Group.

He is driven to lead in areas that present the most challenges and proud to answer the call and help those who are most vulnerable.
